Alan J. Pollock is the host and creator of Owls with Issues.

Alan is currently seeking a degree in Political Science and minor degrees in History and Criminal Justice.

Aside from his responsibilities with the show Alan also serves the students of Florida Atlantic University’s Boca Raton campus as Speaker of the House in the campus House of Representatives. Prior to being elected to serve as Speaker of the House, Alan served as the Chairman of the House committee on Rules and Policies. He also sits on the executive board of the FAU Pre-Law Society as the Director of Marketing.

Alan transfered to Florida Atlantic University after the completion of his freshman year. Before arriving at FAU, Alan played college football for Quincy University (Div. II) in Quincy, IL. His love for politics began in the year 2000 when Alan volunteered to report on the 2000 Bush/Gore Presidential election for his school TV news program.

Alan was born in Philadelphia, PA and due to his parents careers moved around alot and has traveled to many different places. According to Alan, “Those experiences have enabled me to see the world through alot of different perspectives and ultimately I think made me into a more understanding and compassionate person.”
